What to Expect Aboard
When you step aboard USS Laffey, you walk the same decks her crew walked on April 16, 1945. Two immersive exhibits bring that history to life.
Mount 53 Experience
Step inside Gun Mount 53 and experience the kamikaze attack of April 16, 1945 as the crew lived it. This immersive exhibit places you at the heart of the battle that earned Laffey her nickname — The Ship That Would Not Die.
Combat Information Center
Enter the Cold War-era CIC exhibit, where dual holograms and radar repeaters recreate the tense moments of anti-submarine warfare. Understand how Laffey served the U.S. Navy long after the guns of WWII fell silent.
Your visit supports Patriots Point. Your donation to the USS Laffey Foundation funds the preservation work that keeps her seaworthy and open for future generations.
